Poppies are blooming in Muskoka!
The weather is fine here in Muskoka- the snow is all gone and the flowers are blooming! Spent a wonderful day at The Muskoka Quilting Company making poppies with a wonderful group of ladies. What fun!

It’s finally feeling like spring outside and it’s certainly spring season in the studio. The class schedule is filling up and I will be hitting the road soon, meeting lots of new friends and seeing some old ones. Got some designs to get finished first though and a new shop hop to finalize (details soon […]
It’s finally looking like spring around here but I wanted to play with fall colours….I’ve been itching to try the “Quiet Cove” pattern with reds/oranges and yellows but I had to wait for fabric to arrive. It arrived, I played, and here is the result. I like it! I’ve also been meaning to post another […]
There’s this gorgeous little shop just outside Ottawa called Flair With Fabrics. Nestled at the crossroads in the village of Chesterville, it is chock full of ideas, samples, notions and FABRIC! Ruth has the most complete selection of Northcott fabrics I’ve ever seen and she has lots of other neat lines as well. In addition […]
Busy week in Prescott, Richmond and Munster. Managed to not get pics anywhere, but two happy ladies have sent me their projects. Gloria from Thursday is done! Kathy from today is ready to quilt! I think they enjoyed their classes as much as I did. It’s always neat […]
I’ve been hanging out with lots of quilters interested in learning the stained glass technique I use (or maybe they just like the designs?). Here are a couple of recent ones- I also had an inquiry from England and now have a download pattern tester across […]
Been meaning to post and share this for awhile now! One of the crayon ladies is finished her quilt and it looks awesome-great job Connie! It’s hard to get a good picture of a large quilt, but this looks pretty nice. Love the sashing and border choices.
Finally got some important updates for the calendar. There’s lots of exciting classes and a couple of new workshops. Much more to come soon.
It’s been a long, very tiring weekend but Quirks&Quilts 2.0 is looking good! Back end/admin type stuff is pretty well done and now I’m reworking the “look” of things. It’s late, I’m tired so back at it tomorrow. Hope you like the new look!
You might encounter some issues with my web site this weekend-I plan to be working on Quirks and Quilts 2.0 ALL WEEKEND. Stay tuned for the new and improved site 🙂
